Mela 2014 is scheduled from 27 August 2014 to 16 September 2014. The World Famous GANESH RATHYATRA will be organized on 29th August 2014. The preparations for the same are in high Spirits........



The Followers of Ganesh Sampraday started planning to celebrate the Ganesh Mahotsav every year in the holy month of BHADRAPAD, SHUKLA CHATURTHI. It first came into picture in 1962 in the form of MELA GANESH CHAUTH.

It started on a very small scale comprising of small procession of many idols of 10-20 feet height depicting the mythological events in the form of automatic movements with the help of automatic Machines. All these machines were made by the followers that time. These idols revealed the timeless efforts of Dr. Girraj Kishor Gupta and his desciples, who worked day and night to bring the first of its kind thing into the real picture.

It shows the peoples’ belief  and  faith in Lord Ganesh which moved them to work like this. It was the first of its kind in India at that time. Even today, after 49 years, it is a wonder for the people of Chandausi and the people visiting Chandausi and the entire nation. The people from all walks of life come witness this huge immortal event. The Followers gave this event the name “GANESH RATH-YATRA”. Since it s inception, it is growing year by year and gaining more and more popularity all over the country.

Even after 49 Years, the people eagerly look forward to being a part of this grand event. The Rathyatra consists of 15-20 Huge idols and statues of God and Goddess and some Mythological Characters, depicting the events in an automated way. The RathYatra proceeds to the central part of Chandausi and covers a distance of approx. 3.5 Km. in the duration of 6 Hours. A herd of Approx. 15-20 Lack people visit this grand event during this time frame.
