History Of Ganesh Mandir

The Holy Temple of Lord Ganesh Popularly known as GANESH MANDIR, is a Symbol of Communal Harmony. It is a matter of immense  pride for all the people of CHANDAUSI. It was founded in 1954 by Seth Bhupaldas and Smt. Asharfi Devi, and it was completed in 1961 under the supervision of their Son Dr. Girraj Kishor Gupta.

There are always hurdles and challenges in accomplishing a great task. Likewise, the construction of GANESH MANDIR was not an easy job. Every other day was a new challenge. But One fine day in Year 1959, people saw a baby Elephant sitting inside the under construction Ganesh Mandir. People tried to escort the Baby elephant to outside the Temple for carrying the construction work in full flow. But the Baby elephant did not move at all from its place. All efforts were futile to make the Baby Elephant move outside the temple. The people started believing  that the Baby Elephant was the another form Of Lord Ganesh Giving some message to the people present there . The baby Elephant was worshipped like Lord Ganesh by the founder  family. Then the baby elephant  disappeared and since then  no one was found to have seen the baby elephant again. It was a miraculous event for the people of those days. Another miracle was that the Temple construction went on smoother than ever after this event and it came to an end in Year 1961.

The Founders i.e. Ganesh Parivar brought the deities of Lord Gaenesh, Riddhi Siddhi,  Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati from Jaipur and then these great deities were placed with all the traditions, ceremonies, prayers and worships. Ever since then,  they are being worshipped by thousands of people of chandausi and surrounding area. People from distant places have faith in the grandeur of Ganesh temple and they come to worship Lord Ganesh  very often. .
